De gemeente San Juan in LA Union is getroffen door een reeks golven.
De allereerste golf van toeristen bestond voornamelijk uit zwemmers en zonaanbidden. Decennia lang werd San Juan begrepen als een strandstad, slechts een van de vele die de kaart van Noord -Luzon sproeken. De volgende golf bracht een nieuw ras van strandgangers met zich mee – surfers. Van juli tot maart worden de oevers van San Juan geslagen met deining van vijf tot zes voet, waardoor het nieuwe leven naar de slaperige stad wordt gepompt, de methode effenen om uiteindelijk de surfkapitaal van de regio te worden, en La Union terug te zetten op de reiziger kaart.
Toen we onlangs naar de locatie gingen, wilden we nog een golf beginnen. Urbiztondo Grill House
Dit is uw gemeenschappelijke conventionele Filipijnse eetcafe. Evenals wanneer ik ‘typisch’ vermeld, impliceer ik het. Ze serveren heel veel gerechten, maar hun specialiteit zijn de gegrilde (duh). Waarschuwing echter. De locatie is ingesloten, maar niet airconditioning. Er zijn een aantal fans in de buurt, maar tijdens hete zomerdagen zijn ze misschien niet voldoende als je verwacht een beetje te ontspannen tijdens het wachten op je eten.
Wat de prijzen betreft, veel zeevruchtengerechten zijn op P220, groenten op P90, pluimvee op P120, varkensvlees op P140, evenals rundvlees variërend van P165-P345.
